107 Tinsukia returnees arrive by Shramik Express

TINSUKIA: With the arrival of 107 persons by special train and 06153 Shramik Express on Sunday, the number of Tinsukia district returnees till date stands at 461. On Sunday, two trains, namely special train from New Delhi and Shramik Express from Coimbatore, arrived at Banipur station (Dibrugarh).

All the 107 persons belonging to Tinsukia district were ferried to SAI complex Borguri for segregation. Thirty-five passengers, out of 63 returnees, hailing from Tinsukia and Doomdooma circles who arrived by special train have been quarantined at SAI Complex (15), Hotel Rajbongshi (9) and Hotel Mim (11). Sadiya (11) and Margherita (17) subdivisional passengers were sent to their respective quarantine centres. A total of 44 passengers of Shramik Express detrained for Tinsukia district, of which 22 belonged to Tinsukia and Doomdooma while the respective figures for Sadiya and Margherita are 10 and 12, informed Dr Sanjeeb Phukan, Circle Officer of Tinsukia.
