11 more COVID-19 positive cases detected in Sonitpur district

TEZPUR: Within the last 24 hours, 11 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Sonitpur district, taking the total number of positive cases in the district to 322. The number of active cases is 257.

However, following increase in positive cases, the district administration has declared 32 areas as containment zones in the district. The active containment zones are Hirajuli TE (Dhekiajuli), Ward No.3 Rangapara, No.1 Dolabari (Tezpur), Bhojkhowa (Tezpur), Kewarichuk (Jamuguri Nagsankar), Mazgaon, Marabharalipar (Tezpur), Namonigaon (Rangapara), Keherukhunda (Dhekiajuli), Japikhujiya, BP Tiniali, near Tezpur, Ward No.3, Bortal Road (Dhekiajuli), Mazgaon, Kharaati, Tezpur, No 1 Mazgaon, Jamuguri, Lukurachuk, Jamuguri, Mayur oil Corp, Tezpur, M/S H K Lahkar, Tezpur, Kacharigaon, Tezpur, Gutlong, Tezpur, Rupak Nath Path, near Tribeni, Tezpur, Mahabhairab, Tezpur, Eragaon (Mahilibasti) Balipara, Ayursundra Diagnostic Centre, Tezpur, Tezpur Diagnostic Centre, Tezpur, Patidoi Bherela, Missamari, Moila Gaon, Bihaguri, Three Containment Zones in Belsiri TE, Dholuguri Pathar, Dhekiajuli, Geruwa Pathar, Bihaguri, Ghorporachuburi, Near Darrang College, Tezpur, Geruwa Pathar, Bihaguri, Lalmati Old Fire Station, Ward No.2, Tezpur and No.1 Bharali Chapori, Chariduar in Sonitpur District.

Meanwhile, around 14,703 samples have been collected and tested since the outbreak of the pandemic.
