11 new cases of COVID-19 including five jail inmates detected in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: As many as 11 new cases of COVID-19, including five jail inmates, were detected in Kokrajhar on Monday. The increasing number of cases in the district has brought a sense of fear among the people in the district. The persons who tested positive are  Kanak Ray (56), Padu Malakar (55), Sanjib Kr. Das (27), Kharka Bahadur (20) and Bimal Das (40), all jail inmates of Kokrajhar Jail, Asraf Ali Ansari (42) of Gossaigaon Padmabil in home quarantine, Himangchu Ghosh (40) of Gossaigaon Chariali, Bishnu Kalita (40) of Kokrajhar Police Reserve currently at RN Brahma Civil Hospital, Pulak Nath (32) of 7th APBn, Choraikhola, Kanak Chandra Kalita (50), of Police Reserve, Kokrajhar and Manindra Basumatary (70) of Nabingaon, Kachugaon.
