11th biennial conference of LICI Doomdooma branch held

DOOMDOOMA: The 11th biennial conference of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LICI) Doomdooma branch, was held at Doomdooma Sakha Sahitya Sabha Bhavan with a day-long programme on Saturday. The programme got underway with the hoisting of flag by president Munindra Mahanta followed by smriti tarpan by Ajit Chaudhury. Thereafter, Arun Chaudhury and Dipul Sonowal jointly lit the ceremonial lamp. In the delegate session, a 28-member new committee for 2019-21 was elected with Puneswar Phukan as president and Pradip Gogoi as general secretary.

Jatindra Nath Hazarika, president of Jorhat Zonal LICI Agents Association, graced the occasion as chief guest of the open session. About 200 agents of neighbouring Arunachal Pradesh and Assam attended the open session.
