1,200 liters of blue kerosene seized in Barpeta district

BARPETA: An enforcement team seized PDS blue kerosene oil in Barpeta district.

The enforcement team seized 1,200 litres of blue kerosene oil from a tractor (AS-19-C 9610) which was bringing the oil from Bhella SK Oil depot. The vehicle was going to deliver the kerosene to one Anowar Hussain, fair price shop owner of Taparbari, Bheraldi, in Barpeta district.

The kerosene was seized because the tractor driver could not produce proper challan for 1,200 litres of oil. He could produce the challan for 754 litres only.

Also, the fitness guarantee date validity of the tractor had also expired (2018). The enforcement team caught one Aral Ali, owner of the tractor, driver Shafiqul Ali and Anowar Hussain, owner of the fair price shop. They were sent to Barpeta sadar police station with the seized kerosene and tractor.
