13,082 students appearing in HSLC exam in Darrang district

MANGALDAI: A total of 13,082 students of which 5,898 are boys and 7,184 girls have appeared in the HSLC final examination of 2023 (class X) under SEBA along with the rest of the State that has begun in Darrang district from Friday. According to officiating Inspector of Schools cum Assistant Commissioner Monika Borgohain Deka, these candidates have appeared in the examination in a total of 29 centres across the district. 37 Supervising Officers (SO) have been engaged to supervise and monitor the overall free and fair conduct of the examination process. Meanwhile, the district magistrate has promulgated section 144 of Cr PC in the areas surrounding the examination centres and all the Executive Magistrates are also placed into service in their respective jurisdictions for any possible law and order situation.
