15-day Workshop cum Training on Jeme Traditional Dance concludes

Haflong: Following the completion of a 15-day workshop-cum-training on Jeme traditional dance, Helim Kechew and Heremidalim with drumbeat under the Chief Minister’s Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana, the closing ceremony was held at Mpuilo Cultural Hall Boro Haflong on Saturday.

The event was organized by the Cultural Centre, Haflong, Dima Hasao in collaboration with the Directorate of Cultural Affairs, Government of Assam. Trainees of different age groups who had undergone training for the last 15 days performed beautiful Jeme traditional dance, Helim Kechew and Heremidalim with the drumbeat. Aiming at the promotion and preservation of traditional dance, song, and musical instruments, the workshop was inaugurated by Sanjay Jidung, Joint Director, Cultural, and Publicity Centre, Dima Hasao. All the participants of this workshop-cum-training were given certificates.
