16th death anniversary of dramatist Prafulla Bora to be observed at Siporiya HS School

JAMUGURIHAT: The 16th death anniversary of dramatist Prafulla Bora to be held at Siporiya HS School on November 20 under the aegis of Axam Xahitya Xabha this year. In this regard, a public meeting was held with Golap Bora, president of Biswanath Zila Xahitya Xabha, in the chair on Friday at Siporiya HS School.

Abdur Rahman, president of Siporiya branch of the literary body, introduced the guests and briefed the objectives of the meeting. Jadab Chandra Sarma, chief secretary of Axam Xahitya Xabha, graced the public meeting as a chief guest and briefed about the significance of celebration of the death anniversary of dramatist Prafulla Bora. He fondly recalled the contributions of Bora.

Axam Xahitya Xabha observes the death anniversary of dramatist Prafulla Bora every year on November 20. The public meeting unanimously decided to observe the death anniversary of Prafulla Bora at Siporiya High School located in the southern part of Sootea. The meeting was addressed by Pradeep Medhi, Principal of Chatiya Junior College, Dalmohan Chetry, Anjan Baskota, Trishna Devi, Jamaluddin Sheikh, Saifuddin Ahmed, Nazir Hussain, along with others. In this regard, a reception committee was formed with Pradeep Medhi as president and Zehirul Islam as secretary along with 21 executive members.
