17 organizations support All Assam Chutia Students' Union demand

GOLAGHAT: Seventeen ethnic organizations of Assam have given support to the demand of All Assam Chutia Students' Union (AACSU) to name the Bogibeel Bridge after Birangana Sati Sadhani Setu by submitting a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Saturday.

In a press statement, AACSU general secretary Mohen Bora said that on Saturday, 17 ethnic organizations met in New Delhi and extended moral support to AACSU's demand to name the Bogibeel Bridge after Sati Sadhani Setu. The delegates of the organizations - All Assam Tribel Sangha, All Assam Moran Students' Union, Motak Students' Union, Bodo Students' Union, Rabha Students' Union, Karbi Students' Union, Dimasa Students' Union, Tiwa Students' Union, AATTSA, Asom Hazong Students' Union, Goria Moria Desi Jatiya Parishad, Soronia Kachari Students' Union, Mech Kachari Students' Union, AASA and AJYP - signed a memorandum to demand naming of the Bogibeel Bridge after Birangana Sati Sadhani.
