1,83,631 voters to cast vote in Margherita LAC

TINSUKIA: The 124 Margherita LAC, which covers the largest segment in Tinsukia district under 13 Dibrugarh HPC, has 243 polling stations, including few in Assam-Arunachal border with a total electorate of 1,83,631, of which 93,711 are male and 89,920 are female. In a press meet at Margherita on Tuesday, Sumit Sattawan SDO (Civil) informed that under Margherita election district, the voters would exercise their franchise in 243 polling stations, of which 144 are comparatively safe and 71 are sensitive while 28 polling stations have been identified as very sensitive. He further informed that the number of polling stations identified for webcasting was 15 while the LAC had 10 border polling stations.
