1st Adya Shraddha of Late Jamini Kr Narzary held in in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: The 1st Adya Shraddha of BKWAC CEM's father, Jamini Kr Narzary was held at his residence at Khagrabari, Banargaon in Kokrajhar on Friday. As part of the program, retired Banargaon High School teacher Katiram Narzary laid the foundation stone for the erection of a statue of the late Jamini Kr Narzary, which was followed by the inauguration of a portrait of the late Narzary by ABSU vice president Kwrwmdao Wary.

The souvenir 'Thulungani Fungkha -Jamini Kr Narzary' was released by Iswar Chandra Brahma, retired head master of Banargaon High School. A memorial lecture on the life and works of Jamini Kr Narzary was also delivered.

The memorial lecture was addressed by retired principal of Kokrajhar govt college Surath Narzary, Deputy CEM of BKWAC Romeo Narzary, president of UBPO Manuranjan Bssumatary, ex vice president of Bodo Sahitya Sanha (BSS) I Gopinath Borgoyary and CEM of BKWAC Mihiniswar Basumatary and was attended by the Chairman of BKWAC Gambaru Mashahary, EMs-Anil Basumatary, Binud Basumatary, Ptadip Swargiyary, Pranab Boro, Mahipal Boro and others.

The political advisor to CEM of BTR Berlao K. Karjee, advisor of Dularai Boro Harimu Afat (DBHA) Rahendranath Brahma, ex President of Boro Cine Artistes Association Bikash (Lalooda's) Basumatary, advisor of UBPO Bipin Goyary, EM of Mising Autonomous Council Molen Narzary, former Deputy chief of Mising Autonomous Council Sukreswar Basumatary and leaders of Banargaon Anchalik, ABSU and BSS and local intellectuals attended the memorial lecture. CEM of BTR Pramod Boro also paid floral tribute to late Jamini Kr Narzary.
