DIBRUGARH: In a tribute to one of India’s greatest military leaders, Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, on his 111th birth anniversary, troops of Spear Corps organized an interactive session at LP School, Lama Gaon, Prabatipur, Jagun, district Tinsukia, Upper Assam today. The event aimed to inspire young minds with the life and leadership of Field Marshal Manekshaw, whose strategic brilliance and valour played a pivotal role in shaping India’s military history.
The session was attended by 110 students, teachers, and locals. The session highlighted his contributions, particularly his leadership during the 1971 Indo-Pak War, which led to the historic victory and the creation of Bangladesh. The session also emphasized on the values of discipline, courage, and patriotism, encouraging students to imbibe these qualities in their lives.
The lecture was followed by an interactive session, where students enthusiastically participated and shared their thoughts on leadership and national service.
The Indian Army remains committed to fostering awareness about India’s military history and inspiring the younger generation through such engagements.
