2 die in road accident at Tinsukia-Makum Road
In a road accident at Tinsukia-Makum Road, two motorcycle-borne persons -- including a woman -- died on the spot when a truck rammed the bike from behind near the Thermal Gate here at around noon on Sunday.

TINSUKIA: In a road accident at Tinsukia-Makum Road, two motorcycle-borne persons -- including a woman -- died on the spot when a truck rammed the bike from behind near the Thermal Gate here at around noon on Sunday.
The deceased women has been identified as Mamoni Choudhury (26) from Hojai. She in pillion riding while her uncle Biman Chakraborty (36) -- hailing from Lumding -- succumbed to his injuries on the way to the Tinsukia Civil Hospital. He was driving the two-wheeler. According to reports, the duo came to Tinsukia on attend a pre-marriage programme at a relative's house in Sripuria. On Sunday, they were returning to Tinsukia after a visit to Sivdham in the bike bearing the number -- AS 23Q 4151 -- when they were hit by a speeding truck (AS 23 9446) from behind. Police have seized the truck.
