2 Die of COVID in Sonitpur District, 114 New Cases Reported

TEZPUR: Two persons lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Sonitpur District on Sunday. They have been identified as Umeshwari Devi (75), a resident of Johamari and Jatin Boro (35), a resident of Borpukhuri, Jahamari under Thelamara PS in Sonitpur. They died at a TMCH, taking the death toll to 90 in the district during the second wave of the pandemic.

Altogether 2,016 tests were done across the district on Sunday out of which 1744 were RAT and the rest was RT-PCR. Among the new fresh 114 positive cases detected, 95 cases were from RAT and 19 from RT-PCR.
