2 drug peddlers held in Goalpara, seized cough syrup bottles
Goalpara district police arrested two drug peddlers and seized from them prohibited cough syrup bottles and tablets used as drugs
GOALPARA: The Goalpara district police in a series of operations in Goalpara and Lakhipur town on Tuesday, arrested two drug peddlers and seized from them prohibited cough syrup bottles and tablets used as drugs. The arrested duo has been identified as Sanidul Hoque and Robiul Islam. Both of them are residents under the Lakhipur police station.
"We have so far arrested two persons and recovered from their possession prohibited drugs worth Rs 5 lakh to Rs 7 lakh. Investigation is going on and we hope to bring to book the other members, if any, of the chain," said Rupjyoti Kalita, headquarter DSP of Goalpara Police.
