2 killed, one injured in road mishap at Konwerpur Karigaon

GAURISAGAR: Two persons were killed and one seriously injured in a road accident that took place at Konwerpur Karigaon under Sivasagar Sadar Police station on Friday night.

According to report, Sirumoni Konwer (23), Ajoy Konwer (24) and Pradunnya Boiragi were coming home on a Scooty. But suddenly the Scooty lost control and hit a tree. Local people gathered at the accident site and immediately admitted the injured persons in Sibsagar Civil Hospital but in the hospital, Ajoy Konwer was declared dead.

Another seriously injured person, Sirumoni Konwer, a prominent national karate player and coach, succumbed to his injuries on the way to AMCH, Dibrugarh. On the other hand, another injured person was admitted in Jorhat Medical College and Hospital.
