LAKHIMPUR: Quitting their respective political party, around two hundred leaders and activists of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), Congress and Communist Party of India (Marxist) joined in Sanmilita Gana Shakti, Asom (SGSA) on Sunday in Dhakuakhana. These supporters of these political parties joined in the SGSA in an event held in the 6th triennial session of the Dimaruguri unit of party and Sanmilita Nari Shakti, Asom at Amguri Murong Okum. Among the prominent supporters of the BJP, AGP, Congress and CPI (M) who joined in SGSA are Rajib Sandi, Bhavesh Sandi, Diganta Doley, Monoj Mili, Anuj Patir, Dulal Patir, Jitu Borah, Prafulla Borah, Pradip Neog, Haren Neog, Dilip Neog, Ganesh Dutta, Jogeswar Bhuyan, Kushal Borah and Motilal Pegu. In addition to them, a host of businessmen, prominent persons, youths under Dinaruguri Gaon Panchayat area joined SGSA after being attracted to its ideology and activities.

On the other hand, former TMPK vice-president Padma Losan Doley, SGSA general secretary Raju Khanikar, Lakhimpur Zila Parishad member Indra Kumar Chunkrang, Dhakuakhana district unit SGSA vice-president Madhab Doley and the president-secretaries of the Nari Shakti took part in the 6th triennial session of Dimaruguri units of SGSA and Sanmilita Nari Shakti, Asom.
