200 street lights installed in Goalpara district

GOALPARA: In a bid to minimize the man-elephant conflict in the Mornoi Rajapara area, the highly sensitive conflict zone where several people have lost their lives, Eveready company has installed 200 solar street lights. The project has been executed under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund.

On Wednesday, the property was formally handed over to the Mornoi gaon panchayat authority where AV Shivadas, general manager, and Mridul Gogoi, assistant general manager of Eveready company, and Majer Ali, president of Mornoi gaon panchayat were present. On behalf of the company, the Foundation for Integrated Support and Solutions, a technology firm, has carried out the project. Eveready company has its production unit at the Matia industrial development centre, Mornoi in the Goalpara district.
