GUWAHATI: The first round of placement results for the academic year 2022–2023 were released by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati. The most expensive offer was Rs 2.4 crore annually. In spite of the corporations' extensive layoffs, employers like Amazon, Google, and Microsoft still sought out graduates from the college.

according to sources, it was informed by a member of the placement committee that CSE (Computer Science Engineering) was the best branch in terms of the number of offers received and the benefits provided by employers.

The most sought-after pupils in this session, as expected, were CSE students. An annual salary of Rs. 41 lacks is typical for CSE (LPA). It cost Rs. 28 LPA last year. A CSE employee can earn up to Rs 2.4 crores annually. In spite of the batch size increasing from 84 to 108 during the previous five years, all of this is true, according to the member of the placement committee.

Despite continued layoffs at the corporations, some of the largest tech recruiters included Google, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Uber, Cisco, etc. The hiring round included representatives from the IT firms Accenture and IBM. "CSE is the best branch in terms of placement so far, but other branches are also ramping up," the member of the placement committee continued.

BNY Mellon, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, American Express, and Square Point were just a few of the financial institutions and investment banks that hired graduates from IIT Guwahati during the most recent placement session. At IIT Guwahati, employees were also hired by Indian businesses including Reliance, Bajaj, Axis Bank, and ICICI Bank. Besides Rubrik, Infurnia, Cohesity, Thoughtspot, Alphagrep, Rakuten, Shimizu, and Samsung, other renowned employers.
