Guwahati: In a tragic development, a 28-year-old youth hailing from Nalbari district of Assam on Saturday committed suicide at his rented room in Bengaluru, Karnataka. According to reports, the youth who has been identified as Ashimjyoti Mudiar from Belsar owned a restaurant business in Bangalore city.

Mudiar, who returned to Bengaluru on Saturday amid lockdown relaxations, committed suicide on the same day and his body was found hanging in his rented room by his roommate from Punjab around 6 pm in the evening.

The death of the youth caused a hue-and-cry in the locality and some of his acquaintances rushed to the spot. Police also reached the site of the incident and had his body for post-mortem. The cause behind his suicide is yet to be ascertained.

It is pertinent to mention here that Mudiar was an automobile engineer who had opened his own restaurant business.
