29th Annual Conference of Sapekhati Seuji Sangha held

JAMUGURIHAT: The 29th annual conference of Sapekhati Seuji Sangha, a leading socio-cultural and environment friendly organization of the northern part of Sootea which was held with a two-day programme concluded on Monday. The first day programme began with hoisting of the institutional flag by Satyawati Gohain Barua followed by smriti tarpan offered by Tankeswar Bhuyan. A community plantation drive was inaugurated by Sonaram Hazarika. A series of competitions were held then after. The concluding session which was held with Maheswar Pathak, retired principal of Chatia HSS was attended by Arun Bordoloi, Dhanada Gogoi, Muhikanta Mahanta as guests of honour. The open session began with a Diha Nam performed by the women of the village. The meritorious students who shone in the recently declared HSLC examination were felicitated in the open session. All the proceedings of the open session were conducted by Pranjal Bhuyan.
