DHUBRI: Ria Nath, a talented young dancer from Barpeta Road, has made Assam proud by winning the top prize in the dance competition at the 2nd International Mumbai Carnival 2024.

Ria Nath, who has been passionate about dance since the age of three, represented Assam at the carnival and won the first prize in the Bharatanatyam dance category. The 2nd International Mumbai Carnival 2024 was organized by Rhythm Events and Management Private Limited at the Vodafone Factory in Mumbai this month. Ria’s achievement is not only a proud moment for her family but also for the people of Barpeta Road and Assam as a whole. Ria’s mother was her biggest inspiration, and she credits her for encouraging her to pursue her passion for dance. Ria has also been selected to participate in the upcoming Dubai Carnival 2025, scheduled to take place in July next year.
