3 arrested with drugs and illegal arms in Nagaon

NAGAON: Based on a secret tip off, Nagaon Morikolong Outpost police led by SI Junmoni Rabha, carried out a sudden raid in the house of Akramul Haque at Nagaon Mohkhuli Hulapar area on Tuesday night.

During the raid, police seized one 7.65 mm pistol, three rounds of live bullets, one soap box containing suspected heroin and many empty vials from the house, sources claimed.

Police immediately arrested three persons, including two women, identified as Akramul Haque, his wife Rubina Begum and Farida Begum and brought them to Nagaon PS for further legal proceedings, sources said, adding further that all the arrested persons were quizzed for long at Nagaon PS.
