3 dacoits with arms arrested near Bhella in Barpeta district

BARPETA: Three dacoits were caught with arms here near Bhella, at Madrassa under Barpeta district on Saturday night. It may be mentioned that Dr Robin Kumar, Superintendent of police, Barpeta got prior information about a dacoity at Hajo- Doulashal Road. The team of police led by Madan Kalita, DSP of Sadar, Barpeta and Pranjit Das, I/ C, Barpeta Sadar Police Station, caught the three dacoits and recovered a filled handmade revolver and one live cartridge.

The arrested dacoits are - Sahar Ali, Abbas Ali and Saddam Hussain from Nalbari. While the police caught the trio, another three youths who were present fled the spot. The accused are at Barpeta Sadar Police Station and interrogation is underway.
