3 Fraudsters Apprehended by Kokrajhar and Guwahati Police

Kokrajhar: One fraudster of Kolkata has been apprehended in Kokrajhar by Kokrajhar and Guwahati Police on Friday. The arrested person was wanted in connection with many cheating cases. The fraudster is identified as Alok Sen, 49 yrs, S/O Aboni Kanta Sen, Prince Golam Hossain Shah Road, Bikramgarh, PS Jadavpur (West Bengal).

Kokrajhar SP, Rajen Singh said that the arrest of Alok Sen led to apprehend two more fraudsters. He said Alok Sen was MLA candidate of NCP in 2011 and 2016 election from Mariani or Titabor constituency. Two more arrested in connection with the fraudulent activities were identified as Pradip Kalita, 42, S/O late Uday Kalita of Puthimari, Hohora of Kamrup district and Manoj Kr. Deka, 75, S/O late Dhadiram Deka of Bhaskar Nagar, Guwahati. Sources also said Pradip Kalita was the 4th grade employee of PHE department. The fraudsters were involved in many cheating cases and were absconding to evade arrest.
