3 more persons arrested in Flipkart delivery centre robbery case at Dudhnoi

DUDHNOI: Police have nabbed three more persons involved in a robbery incident at Dudhnoi on November 22, 2020. The arrested youths are Abhijit Basumatary, Janmajay Basumatary and Truty Basumatary.

A .32 pistol was recovered from the trio. Goalpara district Superintendent of Police Sushant Biswa Sharma said that a robbery incident took place late in the night at the delivery centre of Instakaart Services Private Limited (Flipkart) on Damara Road at Dudhnoi in November last year. A group of robbers with weapons looted nearly Rs 12 lakh from the Flipkart delivery centre.

Then Dudhnoi police station had launched an investigation into the incident based on CCTV footage of the Flipkart delivery centre. A police team, including officer in-charge of Dudhnoi police station, Mukut Kakati as well as Rangjuli police station officer in-charge, seized two Scootys and a Glamour bike. The police arrested Sunil Boro, Arup Daimary and Kamal Khakhalari along with Rs 42,000 in cash.

Three other robbers involved in the robbery case were from Bagulamary village under Dudhnoi police station - Abhijit Basumatary, Truty Basumatary and Janmajay Basumatary. They had been absconding for a long time but eventually they landed in the police net.

The Superintendent of Police further informed that the arrested youths would be kept in police custody for three to four more days to find out more information in connection with the incident.
