3 persons of Barchala-Garia Pathar village in Sonitpur drowned in Dhing beel

TEZPUR: Three persons of Barchala-Garia Pathar village under Barchala PS of Barchala LAC in Sonitpur district drowned on Thursday in Dhing beel near Garia Pathar village. Sources said that six persons from the mentioned village went to the beel for fishing in the morning at around 9.30 AM. However, of the six persons, three drowned in the water.

Later, the bodies were recovered by police with the help of local people. The deceased were identified as Lakhi Boro (40), Mahendra Boro (41) and Paniram Boro (45).
