MORIGAON: State Health and Finance Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, on Sunday, said that samples of 300 of the 500 people under quarantine in Morigaon district had already been tested till date. "Each district will arrange for COVID-19 testing after Eid," said the minister, while addressing media persons, after visiting Morigaon Civil Hospital on Sunday. The Minister took stock of the isolation centres and expressed satisfaction at the hygienic accommodations. He urged doctors, nurses and technical persons to wear PPE kits before entering the isolation centres for protection. Answering a query, the Minister said, "If anyone willingly goes for home quarantine after meeting a COVID-19 patient, he must be quarantined along with his family members for seven days and the home quarantined family will get essential commodities of Rs 2,000 for the week through the committee formed for the purpose."
