The 30th foundation day of Sadou Asam Lekhika Samaroh Samiti, Doomdooma Branch was observed on Saturday and Sunday at its own venue at Bir Raghav Moran Road, Rupaisiding.
DOOMDOOMA: The 30th foundation day of Sadou Asam Lekhika Samaroh Samiti, Doomdooma Branch was observed on Saturday and Sunday at its own venue at Bir Raghav Moran Road, Rupaisiding.
On the first day of the programme, a poetry recitation competition was held among the members of the branch based on the poem'On the first day of the new year' composed by Meghali Phukan. The competition was inaugurated by the judges Diganta Kumar Bhajoni and Jyoti Bikash Gogoi respectively. Junu Bora, Sangeeta Baruah Deka and Ranjita Gogoi were adjudged as first, second and third prize winners.
In the subject committee meeting, a new 26-member executive committee was formed with Indu Dutta Uzir as president, Sangita Barua Deka as secretary, Deepa Dutta Bhajni as literary secretary and Mrinalini Bora Moran as treasurer for the year 2023-2024. The open session was held under the Presidentship of Kironmoyee Hazarika Baruah.
