4 more die of COVID in Sonitpur district, new cases 159

TEZPUR: Four persons lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Sonitpur district on Tuesday. They have been identified as Kabindra Saikia (90), resident of Polofield, Tezpur, Susen Nath (45), resident of Baruadoloni Puthimari, Debaru Porja (40), resident of New Adabari, Balipara and Amrit Singh (72), resident of Dhekiajuli Ward No 2 died at TMCH, taking the death toll to 162 in the district during the second wave of the pandemic.

Altogether 3,102 tests were done across the district on Tuesday out of which 2754 were RAT and rest RT-PCR and among the new 159 positive cases found, 156 cases were from RAT and 3 from RT-PCR.
