400 members from Congress & AIUDF join BJP in Dhubri meet

DHUBRI: President of Dhubri district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Dr Debamoy Sanyal said that nearly 400 people belonging to Congress and the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) joined the BJP in a mass joining programme held at Motirchar Gaon Panchayat under Dhubri assembly segment on Sunday.

Non-development in Dhubri assembly segment and non-performance by successive local legislators had made minority community people leave both the Congress and AIUDF and join the BJP, he said.

Beside Dhubri district unit president, Dr.Debamoy Sanyal, BJYM district president Nirmalya Paul, and other leaders were present in the programme.
