47 Grocery Sale Points to be Opened in Udalguri District

UDALGURI: With a view to easing the supply situation in Udalguri district in the aftermath of lockdown, as per direction of the government, the Udalguri district administration has reviewed the present status of availability of essential items, supply of vegetables, fruits and milk to consumers.

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Udalguri Deputy Commissioner Prakash Ranjan Gharphalia which was attended by Udalguri Superintendent of Police Ripul Das, ADC (health) Amarjyoti Barman, SDO (Sadar) Udalguri-cum-nodal officer for supply of essential items, Shyamanta Rabi Bara and other officials.

The meeting identified 47 sale points in Udalguri, Rowta, Orang and Majbat for supply of grocery items to the consumers in addition to the existing fair price shops. The meeting also identified 28 sale points for vegetable items and 26 for milk in Udalguri subdivision.
