48 Bn CRPF unit distributes sports materials to schools at Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: The 48 Bn CRPF stationed at Gauripur in Dhubri district on Monday distributed sports materials to schools at Kokrajhar under Civic Action Programme (CAP).

The CRPF unit distributed volleyballs and nets to Kokrajhar Basic Training Centre and 168 no. Kokrajhar Practice LP School through a simple ceremony held at Kokrajhar Basic Training compound. The Deputy Commandant of the 48 Bn CRPF, Neersingh Meena formally gave away the sport materials to the Principal and headmaster of the school.

Talking to reporters, Deputy Commandant Meena said that the CRPF unit under Civic Action Programme distributed the sporting materials to bring awareness about good physique and sound health among the students. He said that good health was important for students to pursue education and their career. He also said that the CRPF unit built community toilets and other basic infrastructure for the welfare of the public under the civic action programme. He also inaugurated a volleyball ground at the compound of Basic Training Centre.
