5 Assam Battalion NCC conducted Combined Annual Training Camp concludes at Mangaldai
The 5 Assam Battalion NCC conducted CATC (Combined Annual Training Camp) at Mangaldai College from January 4 to January 11.

JAMUGURIHAT: The 5 Assam Battalion NCC conducted CATC (Combined Annual Training Camp) at Mangaldai College from January 4 to January 11.
The 8 day-long programme was attended by 303 cadets from various schools and colleges of Darrang, Udalguri and Sonitpur districts, stated a press release issued by the 5 Assam Battalion NCC. Besides imparting training to the NCC Cadets on various subjects like Map Reading, Weapon Training, Field and Battle Crafts, the cadets also witnessed demonstration by Civil Defence, and Fire and Emergency Services, Darrang district and also trained along them on various emergency safety and precautionary measures.
The cadets, accompanied by NCC officials, also visited Kasturi Shishu Griha. The cadets distributed sweets and interacted with the children of Kasturi Shishu Griha. Brigadier S S Gill, Group Commander, Tezpur Group visited the Camp on January 10 and interacted with the cadets. He addressed the cadets and exhorted them to become responsible citizens and to live up to the motto of NCC 'Unity & Discipline'. The Group Commander also stressed the importance of having a bigger aim in life. He also awarded the cadets who excelled in various competitions organized during the Combined Annual Training Camp.
