JAMUGURIHAT: The 50th Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) of 5 Assam BN NCC under Tezpur Group Headquarter concluded on Sunday at Jamugurihat.

A 10-day CATC camp organized at THB College, Jamugurihat commenced on July 14. Colonel Abhram N, the commanding officer of 5 Assam BN NCC, inaugurated the camp on July 15 with his welcome address. A total of 600 NCC cadets from 5 Assam BN NCC and 73 Assam Girls’ Coy participated in the camp. During the 10-day camp, specialists from Indian Airforce, SSB, Assam Police, Fire and Emergency Service provided basic training on self defence, cyber security, weapon display, besides providing basic information about career opportunities in the armed forces.

The cadets were also provided training on military subjects as well as academic subjects. The cultural conclave that was held on July 21 in the auditorium of the college was attended by Colonel Praveen Bhal, (VSM), the deputy group commander of Tezpur Group, along with other dignitaries. The 10-day CATC camp concluded on Sunday with closing address offered by Colonel Abraham N, the commanding officer of 5 Assam BN NCC.
