51 COVID cases detected in Lakhimpur, 1,190 active cases

LAKHIMPUR: A total of 51 fresh COVID-19 cases were detected in Lakhimpur on Sunday. Continuing the conduction of Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) drive like the past days, the District Health Department held the same on a total of 1,104 people across the district, including North Lakhimpur Urban Hospital, Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital Respiratory Clinic and other Block Primary Health Centres (BPHCs).
The detected cases were reported from North Lakhimpur Urban Hospital (3), Dhalpur BPHC (6), Bihpuriya BPHC (2), Boginadi BPHC (6), Ghilamora BPHC (13), Dhakuakhana BPHC (1) and Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital Respiratory Clinic (30).
With these newly-detected patients of the day, the cumulative total of COVID-19 cases of the district has hiked to 10,476 since April 4 of the last year. Out of them, 9,198 recovered patients have been discharged from hospitals and home isolation. There are 1,190 active cases in the district at present. On Sunday, six recovered patients were discharged from institutional isolation. A total of 2,425 COVID-19 cases were detected in the district during the second wave of the contagion since April 1 of the current year.
