58th Foundation day of Dhing College observed in Nagaon

NAGAON: The 58th foundation day of Dhing College was celebrated with a day-long programme recently in the college auditorium.

Two brilliant students were awarded with UC Hazarika Memorial Award which carries a citation and cash. The award is instituted in memory of a Dhing-born academician and administrator by his family members. All the students who bagged 70 per cent and above marks in the HS final exam, 2023 from Dhing College were warmly felicitated with citations and certificates of merit from the Dhing College Union Society and Alumni Association. Juvat Kalita, former general secretary, and illustrious alumnae Priyanka Nayak, chairperson of Dhing municipality board, Dr Amlan Bora and Dr Bidhan Das, noted physician, Raju Saikia, headmaster of primary school, were also felicitated. The chief guest was Utpalparna Hazarika, a retired IRS officer, former professor, Cotton University, and a topper in PU Arts from Cotton College, who spoke about various aspects of competitive examinations and explained how to prepare oneself for such competitive exams.
