5th Antarikshya Dutta memorial lecture held in Sivasagar

GAURISAGAR: Assam Press Correspondence Union (APCU) Sivasagar District Committee, on Saturday organized 5th Antarikshya Dutta memorial lecture under the joint aegis of Antarikshya Dutta Nyas Rakshya Samiti and Nakatani High school.

The daylong programme started with lighting of a lamp in front of the portraits of Antarikshya Dutta, journalist Kamala Saikia and Prasanna Kumar Dutta lit by Sivasagar ADC Bitupon Neog, APCU Secretary General Sarat Sensuwa and Rituparna Bharali, secretary, APCU, Sivasagar District Committee.

Later 5th Antarikshya Dutta memorial symposium was held on the topic 'Poverty and medium of education is not hindrance for educational development of student'. Kamaljyoti Gogoi, Inspector of schools, Sivasagar and Charaideo districts inaugurated the symposium. Ranjit Khanikar, Associated Professor, Nitaipukhuri HCD Goswami college delivered as appointed speaker. The other dignitaries who attended the meeting were Subhrajyoti Borah, Superintendent of Police, Sivasagar, Sivasagar ADC Bitupon Neog. In the meeting APCU Sivasagar District Committee conferred Martyr Journalist Kamala Saikia Award to Jogesh Ojah, senior staff reporter of Dainik Agradoot for 2021 and Kongkon Borthakur staff Reporter of Dainik Janambhumi, for the year 2022.
