63rd foundation day of Biswanath College observed

BISWANATH CHARIALI: The 63rd foundation day of Biswanath College was observed on Wednesday in the college with a day-long programme. The ceremony began with the hoisting of the flag. At the beginning, the earthen lamp was lit by Pramod Borthakur, MLA of Biswanath. Borthakur explained the past glory of the college. As part of the foundation day programme, trees were planted on the college campus.

Former MLA and minister Prabin Hazarika, social worker Apurva Kumar Das etc. were present as distinguished guests at the open session of the programme. In line with the foundation day, a training programme was also held to impart training to the non-teaching staff of the college to enhance their professional skills. Dr Anjan Oza, a renowned litterateur and former principal of Chhayduar College, was present as the resource person on the occasion.
