68 new COVID-19 cases in Hailakandi district; total tally 474

HAILAKANDI: 68 fresh COVID-19 positive cases have been detected in South Assam's Hailakandi district in the past 24 hours, taking the total tally to 474.

Seven more employees of DC's establishment got afflicted with COVID-19 disease, taking the total employees affected to 15.

Seven employees of DC's establishment namely Keshab Sarma Mazumder (33), Debojyoti Arjun (46), Amzad Hussain Laskar (26), Nirupam Dey (25), Abul Hussain Tapadar (33), Leela Nath (58) and Hifzur Rahman (29), all tested positive. Earlier, eight employees, including an Additional Deputy Commissioner were detected COVID-19 positive.

40 patients are undergoing treatment at SK Roy COVID-19 Hospital, 43 at MG Model Hospital, 6 at SMC&H, 47 at Algapur Model Hospital, 6 at HPC Guest House COVID-19 Care Centre and 15 under home isolation.

315 cured persons have been discharged from different hospitals.There are currently 157 active cases in the district.

Two COVID-19 positive patients viz., Mangoli Rani Das (53), and Foijul Haque Barbhuiya (65), breathed their last at Silchar Medical College and Hospital.

1,257 persons are under 26 facility quarantine centres while 4,598 persons under home quarantine.
