69.91 per cent turnout recorded in Tinsukia Sadar Panchayat Polling

TINSUKIA: As the polling continued till late Wednesday evening in interior areas like Tongana, Kakopathar and Gabhoruveti in Tinsukia district, the exact percentage of vote cast was made available on Thursday. According to official sources, the final voter turnout in Tinsukia Sadar which includes Tinsukia, Doomdooma and Kakopathar was 69.91 per cent. The corresponding figures for Margherita, that includes Digboi, was the same as Tinsukia (69.91per cent) while in Sadiya it was 65.58 per cent. In Tinsukia, collection of materials continued till wee hours of Thursday.
