71st Republic Day celebrations to observed at Chowkidinghee Field, Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh: Republic Day being just a day off, preparations are going on in full swing here. Security being a major concern, check gates have been installed in the entry and exit points of the town. Moreover, overall security has been stepped up to avert any untoward incident. Apart from the celebration that is scheduled to be centrally observed at the Chowkidinghee Field under the aegis of the district administration, the day will also be observed in various parts of the town. Republic Day will be celebrated in the New Market area with the support of the local traders and shopkeepers. Cultural programmes have been scheduled on the occasion.
