77.56 percent turnout in Thowra constituency

DEMOW: For the first time the bye-election was held in Thowra Constituency on Saturday (October 30). The Thowra Constituency in Sivasagar District has the lowest number of voters. There are 1,15,971 voters in Thowra Constituency and among them 58,607 are males and 57,363 are females. 1,15,971 voters have decided the fate of five candidates in the bye-election in Thowra Constituency. Sushanta Borgohain,BJP led alliance candidate, Manuranjan Konwar, INC candidate, Dhaijya Konwar, Independent candidate, Krishna Gogoi, CPI candidate and Luhit Gowala, Independent candidate of Thowra Constituency are in fray in bye-election in Thowra Constituency. The polling percentage was 77.56 in Thowra Constituency this time. The result of the bye-election will be declared on November 2 and the counting of the votes will be in Sivasagar Government Boys HS School.
