A Tribute to Dr. Aftab Hussain

Our father late Dr. Aftab Hussain, passed away peacefully at our residence at the age of 78 years in Satmile, Jalukbari, Guwahati, on November 25, 2019. He was born on May 1 in 1941 at Batiporia village in Golaghat. On completion of his schooling he graduated from St. Anthony's College in Shillong. Further, he pursued an L.L.B degree from Allahabad University and then obtained the L.L.M from the prestigious Aligarh Muslim University. After completing his doctorate degree from the Gauhati University, he joined the University Law College as the Principal in the year 1982 and served there for a period of about 22 years.

My father was an exceptional teacher, administrator, and a wonderful human being. His gentle voice and wise counsel have been a guiding light for all of us. His passion for writing made him penned several articles and his autobiography as well. His cheerfulness, encouraging and easy-going traits would definitely charm his surrounding fellow people. He leaves behind a void that is irreparable and difficult to fill for his family and friends. He leaves behind his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives. Today on the day of his challisa, we pray for his eternal peace.

Rest in peace Abba. You will be missed dearly. Until we meet again.
