TINSUKIA: To strengthen its base, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which is gaining ground in Assam and Tinsukia in particular, organized an organisational meet at Tinsukia on Monday. The state convener Manoj Dhanwar along with Anamika Das state convenor for Mahila Shakti addressed the party workers. Dhanwar was very critical about the on-going conflict in Tinsukia Municipal Board and mudslinging among its BJP members, its lone elected ward commissioner failed to work in absence of congeal and workable atmosphere within the TMB, he alleged. Terming the recent incident as reported in media most unfortunate and condemnable, Dhanwar urged upon all to work collectively for better service.

Attended by a large number of party workers who gathered from across the district, the meeting was also addressed by Babul Bikash Chetia, state convener for Yuba Shakti, Amit Panchlangia, district convener, Dhiraj Singh, TMB ward commissioner among others. Earlier the newly-selected Tinsukia district committee was introduced before the gathering and was felicitated.
