Aamar Vidyalaya, Aamar Abhiman Concludes in Dhubri

DHUBRI: Utsav Vidyarambh, which started in Dhubri district from January 1, concluded on Sunday. In Agomoni block, total 331 schools participated in the programme. All the schools were distributed banners, posters and pamphlets supplied by the district administration.

The Block Elementary Education Officer (BEEO) and block resource persons left no stone unturned to make the campaign a success. BEEO Dharma Prasad Rai, while motivating cluster level officials, said that as the District Commissioner was concerned about improving the quality of education with 100 per cent transition and enrolment, they must also be active and work as a team to reach the goal.

As per programme, the first day started with oath-taking ceremony, tree planting and cleaning the school premises. On the second day, rallies were taken out from the school premises to the villages adjacent to it. The students along with teachers, members of school management committee and mothers’ group took out a rally shouting slogans with placards and banners requesting the folks for enrolling the students in schools.

More than 8,000 students took part in the rallies on the same day. On the third day, school management and mothers’ groups visited door-to-door to spread awareness and influence the parents/guardians for enrolling their children in their schools. On the fourth day of the programme, sports activities were conducted among the students, community, SMC, teachers and mothers’ group and traditional sport.
