AAMSU burns Effigy of Education Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya in Gossaigaon

Gossaigaon: Upping the ante, the west Kokrajhar unit of the AAMSU staged a protest by burning the effigy of State Education Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya at NH31(C) in Gossaigaon sub-division under Kokrajhar district. While talking to mediapersons, the members of AAMSU stated that the education minister is of no use and there is some understanding between the suppliers and the minister in regard to contracts given to certain NGOs.

The AAMSU alleged that due to favouritism shown by the minister to certain quarters, the quality of food served to the school children as midday meal is of inferior quality. They further stated that there is a big scam going on in minorty scholarship schemes for the student.
