AASAA stages protest in Krishna Behari Tea Estate near Demow

DEMOW: Under the patronage of All Adivasi Students Association of Assam (AASAA) Krishna Behari Primary Committee, a two-hour demonstration was staged in Krishna Behari Tea Estate near Demow on Thursday to demand solution to various problems of labourers in the Krishna Behari Tea Estate.

Later, the activists of AASAA Krishna Behari Primary Committee submitted a memorandum to the manager of Krishna Behari Tea Estate on Thursday. In the memorandum, the AASAA, Krishna Behari Primary Committee demanded that the daily wage of tea labourers should be increased to Rs 351, 20 per cent bonus should be provided to labourers and a doctor should be appointed in the tea estate. AASAA Krishna Behari Primary Committee has demanded the authority of the tea estate to solve the problems at the earliest.
