AASCSU, Golaghat demands rail gate in Tengani railway track

Golaghat: The All Assam Scheduled Caste Students’ Union, Golaghat district unit submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat on Tuesday.

In the memorandum signed by AASCSU Golaghat unit general secretary Pronab Protim Das, it was stated that a railway track situated at Tengani of Golaghat was a very accident-prone area and there was no rail gate in the area. Several accidents had taken place due to absence of a rail gate in the track. Recently a tragic accident took place where the Janasatabdi Express hit a Magic vehicle and in the accident a school girl died on the spot and another passenger was critically injured.. The Golaghat AASCSU demanded protective measures to prevent accidents in the Tengani railway track and to set up rail gate immediately in the railway track.
