AASU Dibrugarh district committee protest against CAA by forming human chain

NAHARKATIA: 'No CAA' slogans resonated the air in Naharkatia on Monday. On the call of the All Assam Students' Union (AASU) Dibrugarh district committee, the AASU Naharkatia regional unit and local people protested against the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 (CAA) by forming a human chain protest in front of the AASU Naharkatia regional office.

More than hundreds of activists took part in the protest by shouting slogans against the CAA and the government. The president of AASU Naharkatia regional unit, Ritupan Gogoi said, "The Union and State governments must scrap the CAA and show respect to the five martyrs of the anti-CAA agitation in Assam. If the government does not scrap the CAA, our protest will continue."
